Athletics is run mainly in Summer when it is really hot. This means a few things for both parents and athletes to remember – keep drinking water.
On a normal day, you should drink at least 2 litres of water.
On a really hot day (over 30 degrees) this increases to 3 litres, while on a 40 degree day, that increases – especially if you are running hard.
