Following completion of the registration application, an athlete may come and try out Little Athletics for two centre competition days before payment is required to finalise the registration process.
Payment is required for an athlete to be eligible to compete at ACT Little Athletics events.
The Australian Little Athletics Championship (ALAC) is a State/ Territory teams event for the Under 13 Age Group, and an individual multi-event championship for the Under 15 age group. Athletes will be selected by the LAACT following the LAACT Championships. Athletes wishing to be considered are required to meet a number of pre-qualification requirements. These requirements will be provided to athletes in these age groups during the season.

Little Athletics ACT offers three main competitions through the season.
- The Multi-event Carnival
- The Relay Carnival
- The (Southside) Regional Carnival , and
- ACT Championships
Towards the end of each season, the Centre Championships are conducted for all Weston Creek registered Little Athletes. These are usually held over three or four Saturday mornings (but may need later re-scheduling depending on weather conditions). Continue reading WCLAC Championships
This award remembers Karen Green who was a very active parent at the Weston Creek Little Athletics Club until suddenly passing away in her early 30’s. Karen was passionate about the value of children participating in sport and was also passionate about parents sharing the experience with their children. Here at the Weston Creek Redbacks we are committed to recognising the performance of every athlete. A personal best performance is regarded just as highly as a gold medal. However, whilst we celebrate every “PB”, it is important that we also recognise the outstanding achievements of our high performers. If your child is ill or not keen to compete, PLEASE do not send them along to compete.
The Centre has a standard first aid kit available for treatment of athletes in the event of injury and a number of trained First Aiders. For any insurance claim to be valid, all injuries must be reported as soon as possible and recorded in the register held at the canteen for that purpose. LAACT and WCLAC partly sponsors participation in accredited first aid courses.
Photos of athletes will not be included in the secure Gallery section of the WCLAC website, nor included in the Newsletters or Yearbook without permission of the child’s parent or guardian. This applies to photos that show distinguishing features of the child. Continue reading Photography
