It’s raining, it’s pouring…


By all accounts it can be said the rain has set in and so Redbacks Little A’s has been cancelled for today. See you all next weekend when hopefully the sun will be out again!

Entries for the ACT State Championships Close on Monday


Calling all U8-17 athletes. Peples Choice Logo Entries for the ACT State Championships opened last week-end, and close on 6 March. The State Championships are the penultimate competition of the year with stars of the future on display for everyone to admire.

You will need to enter before 11:59pm on March 6th 2017. The following information is needed to register:

  • Name, Date of Birth, Age Group, Gender, Registration Number
  • Events – see below
U8 and U9 U10 to U14 U15 to U17
Maximum of 5 events Maximum of 6 events Maximum of 7 events

To enter Para events, there is a slightly different form that can be found here.

Come along and join your team mates for a  terrific day out.

It’s a bit of a longer programme this week due to the shortened program last week with the older age groups having 5 events. We’ll keep an eye on the weather and safety of jumping events, so be ready for a 9:00am start by arriving a few minutes early for the warm-up,

Week 1 of championships and it will be HOT


This week is week 1 of our annual club championships. Athletes compete in their ages for points, should good luck to all. GREAT START TO 2017


What a great start to the second half of the 2016/2017 season. Some wonderful performances have been registered by all age groups and a club record too for Zoe (U8Girls).

Today also saw a veteran athlete run the 400m with the U14-17’s. Under 11’s age Manager, Geoff Davidson, take on a combined field of runners and showed that, despite a few years on the side lines, his skill as a mid distance athlete is still impressive. Well done Geoff!
