It is well known that children enjoy and learn more when their parent is involved in their teaching. There are many roles that parents can do to help their children enjoy the Redbacks. Many of these roles are simply just helping run the Saturday events by raking sand pits, measuring jumps or distance thrown and timing runs and sprints. Help getting out the sports equipment and putting it away every Saturday helps speed up the running of the competition and helping out at the canteen, serving sausages, drinks and lollies, really helps with important funding for the club. This keeps manage the cost of the registration fee so everybody wins.

The club also needs parents to help out on the committee. When shared across a few parents these roles are not difficult and often fun. Without a committee the club can’t run of course impacting on your child’s enjoyment. A few hours really make all the difference. On the job training and mentioning is always provided and ongoing so you are never on your own.
